The Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner (OIPC)
is an independent office of the House of Assembly. The OIPC is responsible for protecting and upholding access to information and protection of privacy rights under the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act (ATIPPA) and the Personal Health Information Act (PHIA). The OIPC investigates and mediates complaints, and makes recommendations to government departments and other public bodies.
Our policies flow from the following value statements.
