What Can We Do For You?
Have you filed an access to information request with a provincial public body, but you are not happy with the response?
Have you requested access to your own personal health information, but you believe some information has not been provided to you by the custodian?
Is a public body or a custodian of personal health information collecting, using or disclosing personal information or personal health information, which you feel is inappropriate?
Does a public body or custodian of personal health information have incorrect information about you, but they refuse to correct it?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, the Commissioner’s Office is here to help. Simply contact us and tell us about the problem you've experienced.
If we accept your complaint, the Commissioner’s staff will work with you and the custodian or public body to try to resolve the matter informally and quickly. If that is not possible, the Commissioner may issue a Report with his findings and recommendations. In certain situations, if you are still not satisfied with the decision of the public body or custodian after we issue a Report, you would have the option of pursuing the matter in court.
